Notes
Martin and Enock went to Igerera A, to check on the sanitation and hygiene improvement in that village. They walked around that village with the Chairman LC1 and the sanitation committee members. Unfortunately those sanitation facilities which was not constructed on a good standards like latrines, kitchens and shower facilities, was destroyed by the heavy rain which started last week but one and it’s still raining. So the group decided to encourage them about the standards, maintenance and smearing, to make them strong and clean. On the side of eliminating flies and mosquitoes which can cause diseases like malaria, diarrhea and typhoid, the group was encouraging them how to use ash in their latrines to defend smell. Because when they can not defend smelling in their latrines, flies can be in plenty. And when there to much, their work is to spend diseases from home to home. And good enough even if it’s raining too much, the community members in that village are willing to work on their sanitation facilities like digging the new pit latrines and constructing them and others are replacing their facilities which was destroyed by the heavy rain. Because of their hard working, kibo is willing to work with them. They was still walking and the rain started raining, so they stopped. The group walked in 48homes.
