Notes
Suzan went to the village to monitor the stove usage and also to follow up on the smearing of the healthy and safe kitchens facilities. However when she got there, she met some members on their way to the funeral who reported to have lost a daughter to one of their fellow members due to an attempted abortion. Many of the group members had already left for the burial which was going to take place within the upper side of the village. Suzan felt sorry for their loss that day and postponed the activities to another day but promising to first communicate to the committee group leaders before the coming meeting. On her way out of the village, Suzan came across a young mother and her daughter attending to their garden and in it, there was a bunch of firewood which they were covering with dirt, banana stems and fibers. Suzan went to the garden and greeted them and kindly asked if she would assist in any any work, they smiled and welcomed her. She explained to Suzan saying she was organizing to burn some charcoal so as to raise some school fees for her two children who had just completed their their primary leaving examinations. At the same time, she was going to rebuild her fuel efficient stove because the old one was poorly built and placed in the wrong wind direction. With the help of some members, the stove would be built after the burial meanwhile she was busy preparing the materials for building. They thanked her for the assistance offered and Suzan left wishing them a happy stay.
