David along with Chris and Alex .w were in Butabira . Before them reaching the village they by passed maganda sub county in order to pick the c d o mis nakaziba mary and the community realization officer mis Namukuve .However their intentions of going there was to carry out the triggering process. When they reached the village they found when about 250 people had assembled waiting for the Kibo staff to take them throughout the triggering session. However before the triggering session had to get started,the master of ceremony gave the chance to the community development officer to give her speak she encouraged the village to do clean up their selves as it was one of the kibo,s intentions in the village. Also the community realization officer emphasized much more about her roles as the police and the people . She said that it was to bond the police and all the people. Much importantly she said that whenever it comes to hygiene and sanitation the police has got a greater hand in it . Therefore she encouraged the entire village to take a lead wherever it comes the time of sanitation improvements campaigns. After all that the Kibo staff led the entire village throughout the walk of shame. Because the village was badly off they were able to find the fecal matter just in the nearby home closely to where they had gathered. The Kibo staff started off the triggering session by inviting the members who were well versed with the village. The members drew down the map of the village . They also indicated on their map homes , schools,churches and the only water source they had .After all that the Kibo staff told the village that it was because of the bad results which were reflected during baseline survey. Therefore it was the big reason why they were teaching triggering. Another reason as to why they were teaching triggering was because they got the fecal matter just a few distance from where they were. The triggering session went on well because the community members were actively participating with good and many questions. For example how does the entire village eat feaces from one home , water sources, and flies transferring diseases. They ended the discussion when the entire community had learnt how best they were to live by preventing from the medical expenses and the on and off diseases as they were basically discussed during the session. The Kibo staff even guided the village when they were electing the sanitation committee. They ended up the triggering session when the village had came up with the village sanitation committee. They even thanked the Kibo staff for helping them with the pick axes and the shovels which were to be used during the digging of the pits of the different latrines. Lastly the village requested for the grace period of six months while they get to work and improved .
