Bible Lesson Five: God’s forgiveness
Notes
Ida went to Maliga to teach about God’s forgiveness. She first previewed the previous lesson which was answered very well and for that reason Ida went ahead with the new topic which was God’s forgiveness. Reading was from the book of Luke 15:11-32. After the reading, Ida asked the community what they thought about the passage. The chairperson said that he thinks the passage is talking about them. How ? Ida asked. He said that both two sons are what the community is. Fida elaborated more saying that the community is God’s child and was given everything that belongs to the father but unfortunately, the community asked for the share which was spoiled in the far world. Lydia continued saying that the only difference is the community haven’t yet come to its senses to go back to the father as the lost son did. Kasinga continued saying that with him he is the son who got lost from the house. Alex Kirya asked how did Kasinga get lost from the house. He answered saying that the lost son from the house missed the point. He was thinking of himself alone, was jealous and didn’t understand the fathers point. Aida Namwase asked the teacher what should they do? The teacher said that as soon as we come to our senses like the lost son, let’s stand up and make a step going to ask for forgiveness from the father. And also when one of our own comes back from the far world let’s welcome them and rejoice because they were lost but are now found.
