Ws Notes
David and Steven went to bulyowa to continue encouraging the five few homes who had not yet worked and improved on their home hygiene facilities according to the required standards.Amongst the five homes is Lolians home. Lolian testified before Kibo staff that in the 20 years he has lived in bulyowa this was the first time he was digging his first latrine. Kibo staff gave lolian a grace period of 4 days. Lolians father promised to help his son lolian with the digging of his latrine . They moved in the second home of mr Paul cosmass who had no latrine but presently he had constructed one which is in the process of constructing a shelter around it. They continued visiting the other two remaining homes which were in a bad hygiene and sanitation status .Mr basalirwa moses and wayisindi malinzi’s homes had other facilities like dish racks and rubbish pits completed but remaining with their latrines being improved upon. They continued moving to the other section of bulyowa A encouraging and checking on two homes of mr mukisubi and mulombe. They found when both homes had worked and improved on their sanitation facilities. David appreciated the owners and encouraged them to increase on the right sizes of their rubbish pits. They proceeded to the home of the treasurer of the borehole Mrs. wanjala hajirah because they wanted to know how much money had been contributed towards their borehole account..It was found out that they had 120000 shillings on the account and she said the only challenge was that she hasn’t been around the village to over see the contribution process .However she said she would be moving around the entire village continuing to collect money from those who had not yet paid their contributions. Generally according to the sanitation improvement assessment made by Kibo staff ,both sections had worked and improved on their facilities apart from the five homes mentioned above. kibo staff lastly moved around while reminding the entire village about the next general meeting aimed at how they would manage to get everyone on board to pay the borehole contribution and also members working together to bring poles for the borehole fence ,stones for the soak pit as well as digging a good soak pit.r
