Notes
Harriet went to kiteigalwa to follow up on stove usage, smearing and construction of firewood risen stands for and scaling out to the neighboring communities. She reached in the village and found the participants already waiting at the meeting place. She was welcomed by the Chairperson of the group Namukwana and thanked the lord who enabled kibo to work in their village. She also communicated to the group that through the stove program unity was created especially among co- wives. She gave her personal example that she used to conflict with her co- wifeAjjiambo over firewood safety. But the challenge was lack of the firewood risen stand by Ajjiambo that had always forced her to steal firewood from Namukwana. She added that when Harriet found that conflict she was able to talk to the two conflicting parties, counseled them and encouraged their husband Mr. Iremye Juma to build for Ajjiambo a firewood risen stand which enabled her to stock firewood that she can use during time of scarcity specially during rainy season. Also Namwase reported that most people have now smeared their home facilities and their stoves.she added that every one in the group is now cooking on her stove on daily basis. Kamida one of the active participants said that as the group has started meeting participants in Mawanga village and they are preparing them to build stoves. They said that they were able to teach them how to chop grass and left them with the assignment of chopping grass that will be used to build stoves. Harriet encouraged them to maintain their facilities and continue building stoves in the neighboring communities. The group also encouraged kibo to continue following them so that their reminded to keep on track because at times they may slide away from their intended goal for the program.
