Notes
Ida first asked the group to tell her anything they knew about breastfeeding . They said that it's not good to give breast milk immediately, others said that their nipples tickle and others claim not to have milk. Ida gave some breastfeeding tips and encouraged the mothers to continue nursing their babies for at least two years. She reviewed the last three steps of how to breast feed.which are 1. Look for baby's hunger cues. 2. Get baby into a breastfeeding position. 3 Entice baby to nurse. Finally we talked about the 4th step. 4 Encourage a good latch. To make sure baby gets a proper breastfeeding latch ,hold your finger in a V shape around but not touching your nipple. You want baby's lower lip to be well below the nipple so she gets a large mouthful of breast. Breast feed as many times as you can and drink a lot of water.
