Notes
David and Steven went to kirwanire village to meet and discuss the way forward about the WASH program in the village. As they were in the village they found when six of the village leaders were waiting to hear from them . It was about three month ever since they had stopped visiting that village because of the dangerous pandemic of covid 19. However because they had phone called the village before, therefore the chairman had directed the kibo staff to have their meeting at his home . The village chairman started the meeting by asking David and Steven a question. He said who had foretold them about the ideas of hand washing they were encouraging the entire village to practice before the covid 19 inter vision. David answered to the village leaders by saying that is why it is important to take and practice all whatever the kibo staff encourages the villages to practice. They clapped and thanked the kibo. Continuously as the meeting was going on the Vht mukama Hasani and the defense of the village they testified before the rest of the other leaders that during the three months period of covid 19 they were not getting sick as it was the custom of most of the members always getting sick from diarrheal diseases. Therefore everyone who was speaking was encouraging the sanitation work to continue in the village. Amidst the meeting session David asked the members how best they would resume with the sanitation work . Mr kintu frauk one of the members suggested that they should divide up the village into four groups. And each group was to have a group leader who would be easily reporting to the kibo staff during every village visit. He said so because it would ease the home to home movements hence promoting the social distance. However it was a-good idea and everyone one in the meeting liked it and they thought it would work more effectively. Towards the end of the meeting the chairman gave a brief report by saying that he will be showing the kibo staff many pit though they were away from the village. He also thanked the kibo for the support of pick axes. Because the pick axes were simplifying the work of digging their new pits. According to David and Steven,s observations the village was so receptive and all the leaders were anxiously opting to resume with WASH program.
