Ws Notes
David and Steven went to bulyowa village to have a-meeting this meeting was intended to bring up to speed the four members in the community who had not completed working on their sanitation facilities for example mr basalirwa Moses , Wabwire posiyano, Nviri laliyo, and Basoga sololye .Secondly the meeting was also aimed at bringing everyone on board so that everyone gets to pay towards the borehole account.Unfortunately the meeting wasn’t there because of the traditional ceremony which was taking place in bukono one of the neighboring villages to bulyowa . They were putting a successor to the late chief of one of the sub counties which makes up the busoga kingdom called mr Nkomo in the bukono constituency lvukula subcounty Namutumba district. David only met few people in the village because everyone was getting prepared for the coronation celebrations. They suggested together with mr mpata the adviser together with the few committee members to only visit the four homes of the most stubborn members . They visited mr Lolians home and were happy because there was some progress, as he had dug about four feet and he had poured inside the pit some water to make it soft for digging. They encouraged him to double his effort so that by the end of one week at least to have gone 15 feet and above. The second person they visited was mr waiswa lsabirye who has completed his pit latrine about 45 feet and the dish-rack to he was left with only constructing on top of it . The third person they visited mr basalirwa Moses had also completed the digging of his pit and they encouraged him to take his time so as to get good construction materials for the slab of his latrine. They also visited wabwire pasiyano who had dug about 10feet deep and he said he was half way the depth he desires.lastly they visited mr sololye nasoga who lives alone near the swamp who had no progress at all but he requested Kibo staff to give him five days for digging as,he will have finished with the digging of the pit and three more days for the construction of the shelter. He said that he was tired of running in the swamp therefore this is the right time for him to get out of trunning as he digs his own latrine. He appreciated Kibo for the good sensitization and encouragement other than other sub county officials who would instead rebuke him. Kibo staff, the committee members advised mr mpata to lock up both boreholes in A and B allowing only those who will have cleared with their borehole contributions to get water and the rest who will have not cleared to pay first in order to get water. In general bulyowa village has worked and they are in their upper 90,s in the latrine and dish rack coverage apart from the four homes who are in the construction process of the shelter and walls around their latrines . They postponed the community meeting to next Monday when they hope everyone to be around to discuss good developmental ldeas and suggestions to their community
