- Irene went to bupeni to continue teaching about malaria, the dangers,prevention and treatment. Irene started with a review of the previous lessons then asked the community, on some of the dangers of malaria and among those discussed the members gave death, brain damage, epilepsy, among others, they also discussed about the prevention and treatment of malaria. Irene also encouraged the community members to always make good use of the mosquito nets that the Government gives them because most of them use them for fencing their chicken houses, and fencing their gardens. After the meeting Irene talked to Rita whose baby had a skin rush but had only applied herbs and when she saw that they were not working she came to Irene and asked for another option. Irene encouraged her to take the child to hospital because the rush may spread to all the family members if not treated.
