David and Steven were in kirwanire village. And their intentions of going there was to move home to home following up on the specific homes that had not yet constructed hand washing stands to do so . Since it was the set goal for the WASH program finishing hand washing construction in kirwanire village . However as David and Steven were in the village, they moved home to home along with the village chairman Hasani Bogere and Gerald the general secretary into the different homes encouraging the specific homes which had not yet constructed the hand washing stands. Out of the many homes they visited this is what was noted . They realized that some of the residents were spending much of their time in the gardens. Leaving less of their time for the sanitation improvements work .Therefore as the kibo staff were moving home to home they kept on encouraging everyone to balance between the two that is sanitation improvements work and garden work. The kibo staff appreciated some of the homes which had started the improvements on some their sanitation facilities. For example in Hakana, and Fraouk,s homes . The kibo staff also found when Hakana had improved on his shower area which used not to be meeting the set standards . So because of that ,David and Steven continued encouraging him to improve on the rest of the other sanitation facilities in his home for example his latrine pit which needed the much improvements . Hakana promised the kibo staff that he was going to improve on the rest of the other sanitation facilities though he was sickly. Because of the too much rains in the village, the kibo staff along with Hakana and Bogere Hasani had to stop their home to home movements and post ponded it for the next visit . In general according to David and Steven,s overview they saw that the entire village was ready to work following fewer guidelines and sanitation encouragements from the kibo staff in order to meet the set deadline date on the hand washing construction as well as improvements on the rest of the other sanitation facilities.

2020-08-28 - Purpose: To check on the Sanitation progress throughout the trading centre up to the lower section.
